(One of my favorite pictures I've managed to take so far here!!)
Over the weekend I got the chance to go to Venice... Not only to Venice, but to Carnevale!!! I've been wanting to go for years now, I've read about the costumes and masks and I've heard so much from the exchange students from last year at MCAD and I've finally gotten the chance to see it!
Venice, however, in itself was gorgeous. Definitely one of my favorite cities I've ever seen!! I'm pretty set on living there sometime in my life...
Although the city was very hectic with Carnevale, I did get to see Venice as it usually is on the less crowded streets.
One of the things I've been dying to see is St Mark's Clocktower... It's really one of the most stunning bits of art and I couldn't believe it when I saw it! The blue in the photograph does not do it justice, the real blue of the clock is extremely royal and amazing it's kept its color so vibrant all these years!
The blue and gold was actually placed throughout the city and the cathedrals there... The colors of Venice were gorgeous! The picture below I took while my Whitney and I were sitting on the edge of water, waiting for the train to arrive. It was steadily getting darker and lo and behold! Just behind us? Beatles music started playing!! Turns out it was a cover band that was set up just in front of the train station!! They were pretty good! Beatles, Venice, and Carnevale!
